Friday, March 5, 2010 at 7:05PM Last year everyone thought that there's wasn't even going to be a 2K NHL game, well it was announced yesterday that the next game in the franchise will be a Wii-only adventure and versions for the XBox 360 and PS3 will be on a little vacation until next year.
Apparently 2K wants to focus resources on one console in order to strenghen the brand, which isn't a bad strategy and it will be interesting to see how they untilize Nintendo's Motion Plus.

Wednesday, March 3, 2010 at 8:49PM The people over at Gametrailers have their exclusive launch trailer for Sony's new MLB 10 The Show. Seeing that I hardly put a dent into MLB 09 -- and the fact I hate the yearly release model of sports games -- I think I'm gonna skip this one. That, however doesn't mean you can't enjoy it.

Tuesday, March 2, 2010 at 3:00PM The last real reacing game I had fun playing was Pure. At first I didn't think I would have fun with an ATV game, but after play the demo I was hooked, and Blackrock Sudios gained a new fan. On May 18 they will have my attention once again with Split/Second. Not only do we have a release date (yay!) but we also have the box art and a new subtitle "Velocity". The addition of a subtitle makes me think the devs have plans to flesh out this franchise a lot more than Pure. That slash has been a major part of their branding for this game, and I'm curious to see how they implement it in the full version.

This game has to be good, I'll be crushed if it isn't. The screen shots and vids for this title have been nothing short of spectacular, with a cinematic style matching that of Uncharted. All I need is a demo, a small taste of the sweetness to come.
